Druid Hunter vs Priest Rogue, Shaman Warrior, Druid Rogue. All recorded from the 1750 to 1800 ratings. These were recorded with myself at a new 23/0/38 spec, stolen from the druid ZNA that runs with the legendary hunter megatf. It is a very powerful spec for switching CC’s and putting out additional dps for the kill. The addition of swiftmend is incredible vs double dps teams, and the loss of moonkin form is made up by spellhit + mass cyclone / entangling roots. For the first match, we decided to play it safe and drain the priest. Priest rogue teams are pretty easy for our combo unless they manage to pull off a good cc chain and burst one of us hard while our trinkets are down. It’s difficult for them to accomplish because of the utility we have between the two of us. For the second match vs the Shaman Warrior team, we used the ‘switch’ strategy as we call it. It took awhile to take them down, but in the end we won with no pet and the shaman at nearly full mana. I didn’t time my cyclones as well as I could have, and without the pet we couldn’t use growl to eat the grounding totem, so a lot of my cc’s didn’t come off as well as they should have. But towards the end with no trinket left, the Shaman couldn’t do anything to help his warrior. With the third match, we did the same ‘switch’ strategy, and managed to burn the rogue down with the druid at almost full mana. **Please Read** As the countdown to Cataclysm diminishes, I figured a quick 4.0 pre-cata video was in order. All of this footage is from Patch 4.0.3, the shattering of Azeroth patch. As many of you will complain my UI is a mess, and I tried my best to fix it but as soon as I had it set up, the patch ruined it again. Between a new monitor and broken addons, the whole ordeal has been a headache. You can see some UI changes to it in between clips, as I tweaked it during the wait. I probably wont release another video until the next year, considering I have finals, holidays, and some leveling to do in between. I wish everyone a happy holidays and a happy new year! Some people have asked me about my thoughts on Cata, so I am going to quickly summarize what I think. Be aware that the information I have currently may be drastically skewed in just a few days, as hot fixes are coming out faster than they can be analyzed. Priest- It seems they will still be a weak healer in comparison to the Holy Paladin. and many believe that Priest will continue to bring up the rear in the lineup of healers even in Cata. Despite this, their unique offensive play style and amazing utility will continue to make them a viable arena choice for certain comps. Rogues- I am disappointed in the current class changes for Rogues. One of the large problems for rogues is that they are so CD based, meaning that a rogue without CDs is just a dead weight, wither it be offensively or defensively. Instead of …
Hunter Druid vs Rogue Druid team ~1750 rating in season 4. **Wall of text** This video was recorded about 9/7/08. Looking back, I can see a lot of things I did poorly. CC at the wrong time, or letting myself lose LOS so I couldn’t get it at the right time.. I didn’t keep a fairie fire up on the rogue enough, so he was able to vanish more than he should have. Also the clicking. My ui has changed slightly from this one already, a good part of which included the switch to restokin, and additional macros to speed up drinking and weapon switching, all of which are now on keybinds. There’s the odd spell here and there that I need to click now, but mostly everything I can reach very quickly. I recorded this video as an 11/11/39 spec, which worked fine for the time. I finally switched to a restokin spec since upgrading my gear the point of making it viable, and do not regret it. It’ll help to prepare me for the druid wotlk talents which should be out anytime now, and I’ve found how helpful it is to add some dps of my own to gib a dps while the healer is cc’d. Now that I don’t have charge anymore, I’m actually looking forward to all these other druids not having it. It sucks having a CC charged, though I expect it’ll suck even more to only have 70% pushback resistance rather than 100% on cc casts. As you can see, I’ve upgraded from Windows Movie Maker, and chosen Adobe Premiere Elements 4 instead. It’s been working great, and doesn’t crash over and over. Though it’s been a pain …
