if you have a flying mount this is child play just hover above the beam passes then fly down get a couple of orbs and fly back up when the beam gets near rinse and repeat
these things hit me like 50 times earlier than the animation blizz has to put down the crack and fix the game god damn
@jemtoad what about the people that do this at the level they are supposed to? lvl 19? they’re fucked
with a flying mount things are even easier, you grab a ball and fly up, rince and repeat

almost broke my keyboard doing this, i fell off of the thing the 1st time i try to do it.
1: Don’t rush from one ball to the next – there’s a 60 second timer that resets every time you pick up a ball so there’s plenty of time.
2: Mount! Once you’re mounted you can outrun the rotating frost arms.
3: Wait by the portal for the frost to clear, then do an anticlockwise run round the outside, avoiding the traps. When you get back to the portal, back into it and you’re safe while the frost clears. Rinse & repeat.

Do you need a flying mount to do these quests?
Yes, Alliance can do these quests but the portals don’t work. You need to either wait for cata and fly to ledges or to jump down from winterspring / levitate wall walk up to the spots for the achievement. Just got fiery on my mage on my first try getting to a platform, barely missed shadow, which is higher up than fire.
You don’t have to have the quest to get the achievement. Just do what the achievement says.
mount before u start doing this, its sooooo much easier this way
Go to the foot of a mountain in the water around 55,14 and swim up to a little portal in the water by the edge of the mountain. It’ll jump you up to the next plateau on the mountain. Do this about 7-8 times until you reach the top of the mountain. Watch out for balls of frost that come down and explode; if you’re near them they’ll knock you off the mountain when they explode. Once you reach the top you’ll see three little orbs – one for frost, one for shadow, and one for fire.
